One night build. Started at 6 last night and got it done by 11. It's too pretty, let's go beat it up.

I might be mistaking, but, I think you are using that jack under the front tire in the wrong way????

First rock test successful. I think 75t or 80t would be better but the wheelspeed it has is fun. Motor definitely stalls under good binding.

I built it bone stock for now and there's definitely improvements to make. More steering angle will be my first mod. Then start getting more clearance by cutting the running boards and parts of the flares out. The front "brick wall" definitely needs to be modified for approach angle.

Tires work well. Should have put more weight in them. 2oz. is not quite enough for traction and full articulation.

Got more work done before hitting the sack last night.

I notched the 1.55 wheel nuts so that I can better tighten them.



Then I finished up the "brick wall" reshaping. Still not as much clearance as I wanted but again anything is better than the stock piece.



Now I have to reshape those inner fender wells that stick out.

Next will be more steering angle. These things definitely need more.

Put some aluminum sheet so the ABS wouldn't be destroyed so much.


Got the fenders and side molding all shaped up. Needs sliders bad.

I'm still not happy after I changed from the 70t to the 80t motor. Think I'll go back to the 70t and stick another esc in it so I can run 3s lipo. The gearbox is just too tall for the high traction rocks out here. It'd be fine in loose stuff because you'd need the wheelspeed.

I agree completely. I have an FJ Cruiser body and a Pajero too so this body may get stuck on an SAS CC-01 chassis.

Doubled the steering throw of the stock kit. The front arms drop a little lower now too.


No more stalling issues. HPI GRU. 55t motor is too slow but it should crawl alot more controlled now.

HPI GRU? whats that?

With the GRU, it moves around and sounds like it can just push through the rocks!
