    Default New CC-01 Owner with questions????

    I just picked up a new CC-01 and i'm looking for advice on how to lock the front end, Is JB weld the way to go?? Thanks
    So far this thing is a lot of fun.

    wedge in a gear from the rear diff since you probably used the optional diff locker for the rear or if you dont have that stick some screws in it but make sure you can close the diff really good with no buldges!! i luv my cc01 too its takes more time to get through things but thats why its fun. i suggest you get the hpi gear reduction unit with a 45t it will run really scale stock gearing is way too fast

    You can JB weld, or just move one of the spider gears and jam it in between the other two to lock it. The second method is reversible if you choose to run an open diff later on. The HPI GRU works well, but you will need to trim the chassis and gear cover little for it to fit. Stock battery placement will also be affected. I run my GRU with a 35t motor and it is nice and slow!

    no pics yet, I'm headed to Forest Falls tommorrow so I'll take some pics then, I also orderd some new tires and wheels, that should help alot
