    Is 17.5 width to wide for a super.

    Might want to check out the 2010 rules if you are going to compete. If you are just playing around, then it does not matter.

    There is no limit to width on a super. The gates are 20" appart so plan your width off that. I run my super wider then most people at 15". Wheelbase is limited to 16"-18" though.

    Hmm, 17.5" wide you say, you didn't buy the old Rock Lobster did you hehe.

    I would say YES that 17.5" is very wide.

    Like MTR said above, the Gates in Super Class are 20" wide, and you wanna have some room to get between them.

    My Current Super set-up is 13.5" wide.

    aright thanks its because i am in the works on building a super and have some axle tubes that are alum and knuckles that came off the integy 2.2 conv kit so that is why it is so wide.I guess i will have to put it back to stock for now.

    here is a picture of the tubes and integy conversion kit.
