Okay, I can't keep a secret... so here's what I have planned next for this build. They say scale building is a sickness and I'm definitely sick. HAHA! I figured when going out to the desert in this rig, you've gotta have something to roost some sand in the air.

This is the chassis design I'll be going for and the specs are as follows...

    • Using a donor Losi Mini-T
    • Tube frame chassis
    • Custom built front suspension
    • Mini-T trans and drive shafts
    • Mini-T sized custom wheels
    • Team Losi sand paddles (rear)
    • Modified Team Losi single rib fronts with the rib removed
    • Novak Mongoose brushless system
    • Plus more if I feel like it.

It's already began. Those photos were taken before hitting the trails. It's already been rolled several times, ran through the creek, and put the rock sliders to good use.

    SMALL UPDATE: Wheels

No pictures just yet, but I'm working with someone on designing and machining some custom aluminum rims for the sand rail. Once the design is finalized and I get some screen shots I'll post them. I just wanted to let anyone interested in this build know that it hasn't been forgotten. Things are still in the works, just coming along slowly for now.

OH and here are a couple of screen shots from the article in Xtreme RC Cars magazine that this rig appears in. These are just a couple of pages from the article, there's more to it.
