    Default Losi Boss Claws

Been runnin the new Losi Boss Claws since they came out. First off...SICK. Been running the Sedonas for the most part & have had great success with em but the Bosses kill it. No wonder Jake wins so much. Its GOTTA be the tires...right? That or his ridiculous skills.

Anyways...mounting said Boss Claws straight SUCKS! Im running Vanquish rims & Proline dual stage foams. My 1st round ended in me hackin the piss outta the gray inner foams & STILL fighting the beads & STILL havin em blow out. I didnt like the lack of sidewall after my "trim" job on the stiff inners so decided to replace em with new, full size inners. Again...it was WRESTLEMANIA XXXVII tryin to get the beads to seat & stay...kinda like my bull mastiff. A good number of the members in the Central Coast Crawlers have the Bosses & have had the same issues.

So...any tricks? Ideas? Magic chants or native dances to get these dope tires to mount & stay mounted? So far...the best thing I've found is a dab of hot glue just to hold em down while I set the rings.

which vanquish rims do you guys run? Mine mounted up to SLW's really easliy, but I had to take my time with the DH pro comps.

The easiest way I found to mount both of them is to thread two or three of the beadlock bolts in just one or two turns... just enough to put a little pressure on the bead of the tire. From there, pop the bead into the groove on the rim. You'll have to work your way around the bead two or three times to make sure it is seated the entire way around.

After that, just tighten them up and make sure the bead doesn't go anywhere

Most of us run the DH ProComps. I actually tried the process you mentioned when I 1st mounted em but probably just wasn't patient enough...after pulling the bead 3 or 4 times. I appreciate the response & my last battle seems to be won...so far. I've got about 3 hours of hard crawlin & have yet to pop a bead so i'm hopin we're good. Thanks again.

Mine mounted up easier to the .7's then they did to the DH's

I recommend Losi's oversized memory foam for the fronts, and the stock Boss claw foam for the rear of the .7's. The rear is a little tougher to mount up with the wide stock foams, but the big memory foams drop right into the fronts
